Ingredients for 6 servings

  • 4pc eggs
  • 200G Wheat flour, type 550 or type 405
  • 400ml milk
  • 1prize Salt
  • 1el sugar
  • 1shot Vegetable oil, for the pan

  1. For the pancakes grandma’s style, crack the eggs, whisk well in a bowl, then add the milk, sugar, salt and flour and mix all the ingredients to form a smooth batter. Then let the dough rest for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Grease a flat pan with some oil and heat it up.
  3. Whip the pancake mixture vigorously again, pour thin portions into the pan and cook on both sides over medium heat until the desired degree of browning.
  4. Repeat this process until the dough is used up. The thickness or the diameter of the pancakes can be determined by the size of the pan or the amount of the mass.
  5. Keep the finished pancakes warm until the final processing.

  1. For a particularly fluffy dough, 1/3 of the milk can be replaced with sparkling mineral water.
  2. The pancakes can be served either savory or sweet. For a savory dish, the pancake can be topped with ham and cheese, for example, and then rolled up. Chocolate cream, cinnamon and sugar or jam of all kinds are suitable as sweet fillings for pancakes.
